The stepper motor training system (SMTS) comprises of four stepper motors mounted on a base. Stepping motors are motors which rotate one step when supplied with a pulse. Typical applications include numerical controlled machine tool drivers, X-Y plotters, and printers. The STMTS is interfaced to the PC via a USB connection by teaching software provided. The teaching software proceeds through the principles of stepper motors, their use and how they are controlled.
Questions for each section are answered by the students and the results logged, making this a suitable self teaching package.
